1920's  "Tarantella" Single Edge Blade Sharpener Made in Germany
One side of the blade holder reads, "Trademark Patented Tarantella".
The other side of the blade holder reads, "Sole Agents for USA, Canada, and Mexico, Achille, Staraco, and Co. Inc. New York, Made in Germany"
According to research, the name "Tarantella" refers to the action of the device, which when in use,
imitates the moves in the "Tarantella", a twirling Italian folk dance.
The item seems to be in working condition.  As the black handle is rotated the blade holder and sharpener turn
correspondingly.
There is  some corrosion or rust in areas, as one might expect for an item this age,
The handle seems to remain in nice condition.
