Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Girl Doves, Basket Garland Love Letters Obelisk. Beautiful and remarkable hand painted scene of a young lady with a garland of flowers and a basket on her arm that contains love lettersl Three doves help populate the scene, and at far right is an obelisk or column with a round ball on the top.
Measures approximately 3 3/8" tall
This mug has a substantial chip on the rim to the right of the hand painted scene that appears to have been repaired. There is also another dent on the rim that may be seen in the chip photo, but that looks like it had gold paint in it, so it's unknown if that's an artefact of firing (like the inclusions on the inside bottom of the cup) or if it was part of the repair of the chip. Base rim feels a little rough, but that may be from manufacture. The cup has the high pitched clink that an unbroken cup has when tapped with the fingernail.
