MARECHAL PETAIN SILK PORTRAIT VICHY PROPAGANDA ORIGINALS
Made by the Information Ministry (Propaganda Ministry) and received by civilians during the German occupation of France. This propaganda is a portrait made on silk with a cardboard frame. The card board frame comes in green.
The Vichy’s regime took place between 10th July 1940 to September 20th 1944. After the French defeat and capitulation, this regime was created when Marechal Pétain was in power. During these 4 years there was no French Republic only a French State “Etat Français” based in Vichy in the south of France. During the occupation period, the Vichy regime collaborated with the German Army and administration.
