This is an antique sterling silver travel shaving brush. The natural bristle brush can be stored inside the hollow handle to make the brush compact for travel. The hole is in the one end to allow any excess moisture to drain and evaporate. The handle is marked sterling in several places with a capital A. I am not familiar with that mark, possibly Alvin sterling, but not sure. It is in good condition with only a very minor dent on the end cap and a minor dent on the brush end. Please view the last two photos to see minor dents. The main body is dent free. It has an attractive raised foliate design. The bristle brush has some stains and is slightly twisted. It appears to have been used. All in all this is an interesting shaving brush in nice condition. Thanks for looking. Please feel free to ask questions. I don't know the silver weight. I am selling this as a collectable. Shipping includes insurance.
