VINTAGE ARGYLE W.H. GRINDLEY FLOW BLUE & GOLD FLOWERS MUSTACHE CUP & PLATE
This is a spectacular gaudy, but beautiful cup, covered with gold trim around nearly the entire surface with raised relief 3D design.  It comes with a damaged but pretty flow blue pate also trimmed in gold around the border.  The plate has two chips and is just considered free, and really am not sure if this belongs with this mug.  The cup measures 3.5" in diameter at the 4.5" across in width from one side to the handle edge.   It is 3.5" Tall and the plate is 7" in diameter.  The back of the plate says it was made in England and has an ARGYLE blue stamp and a green one with the logo for W. H. Grindley (1891-1914) and the cup simply has what looks like J5.  I don't know if these two are a match. The mustache mug is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips or anything that would indicate abuse of any kind.  The reverse side has no maker's identifying logo, only the 2 letters in red and there is a light smudge of the flow blue paint, barely visible that was made during creation but does not take away the charm of this long lost mug.  These came from a relative's estate with no other information.  This is really a beautiful porcelain that you can almost see through, and a treasure to pass down through the generations.
The cup is in perfect condition with only slight gold surface worn thin.  There are
rough edges on the bottom and inside the cup but these are from creation and not considered flaws.  The plate has two chips on the border and should be considered free!  Please see photos as an aid for the description.
This will be packaged carefully for shipment with insurance using Priority Mail.

It is YOUR responsibility to file a claim for any insured items that are damaged because that is what Insurance is purchased for. This is the U.S. Post Office requirement and this information is found on their web site on the “File A Claim” page.  I can NOT file claims with the Post Office for you. E Bay might tell you differently, but the U.S. Postal Regulations and Requirements are very clear. In order for the claim to be processed with the Post Office, the receiver of the damaged item must file the claim at their local Post Office or you may file online. You will need to keep the damaged item, the box with the labels on it, and all of the original packing materials as the Post Office may require them for proof of damage.
