Vintage "The Quartet" Barbershop Quartet themed Shaving Mug 3 3/8" tall

Description

Charming small vintage shaving mug measures approximately 3 3/8" tall. The design and styling seem quite similar to the Sportsman mugs of 1953-1955, but there is no brand name, name of the pottery whence this mug came, nor the name of the person who executed the hand painted details. On the bottom of the mug is the number "423" and the design is a barbershop quartet, under "The Quartet".
Gold bands are complete but show some minor wear. Painted letters and central image seem in good order. The porcelain is in good general condition, but there is evidence of a repair on the rim that is the focus of two photos.
