    Description

    Zenith Zenette Tube Radio, 1940’s Model G402, Antique Red Maroon Bakelite with a flip top cover that opens to reveal tuning knobs / wheels. Model number sticker is on bottom of unit indicating G402. The base opens via a small pin latch to see all internal parts and power cord. The power cord was so brittle as it must have been coiled up for a very long time. Due to condition of cord I did not power up unit to avoid damaging any of the internal electrical components. Battery leads are present and some instruction tag for battery connecting is present. I did not hook up battery for fear of causing damage to the item. Casing is a maroon color that I believe to be Bakelite. The handle for carrying radio is elastic design and is in good condition functioning as originally intended. All of the parts appear to be original based on researching the internet for complete units. The only blemish on casing is on top towards rear where it appears to have been burned (see last pic).
